The Best Commercial Interiors Events to Attend in 2018
Understandably, every New Year comes with new Interior Design trends, especially for the ever evolving commercial market. Both new and established exhibitions and events seem to be happening all the time, so I did some research and picked out 4 great UK Interior Design events.
Taking place on the 19th-22nd September 2018 at the Olympia Exhibition Centre in London, 100% Design is the UK’s largest design trade event for industry professionals in the UK.
100% Design 2018 will be featuring over 400 design brands across five different sections;
- Emerging Brands
- Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms
- Design & Build
The Workplace section in particular will feature seating, desking and lighting solutions, electronic innovations, acoustic panels and storage solutions.
Last year’s show proved a great success with exhibitors including, Century Office, Verco Office Furniture and Workagile.
With previous years’ talks by BBC DIY SOS’s Naomi Cleaver and one of the UK’s leading product designers, Lee Broom, this event isn’t to be missed!
Hosted at Manchester Central on the 15th – 17th July 2018, hundreds of people will be descending on the conference centre for this must visit show.
Known as the most relaxed and welcoming furniture and interior show in the UK, Manchester Furniture Show is combining with Midpoint Furniture Exhibition this year to present a unique mid-season opportunity for furniture buyers.
Manchester Furniture show has received nothing but good reviews, with Paul Wesson, Sales Director at Whitemeadow, saying, “We love the Manchester Furniture Show, it is a firm fixture in our calendar and it gets better every year. We will be back next year”.
Olympia will be home to the UK’s largest event for office professionals from the 28th February – 1st March 2018.
Aimed at executive support staff, Office Show gives them a chance to network and attend keynote sessions, but more importantly it introduces them to new, must-have office products.
Not necessarily an Interior Design show as such, but Office Show is a great place to attend as an exhibitor. Previous exhibitors have included office furniture businesses and
83% of visitors have purchasing authority within their business, making them the ideal audience for businesses wanting to expand their reach.
Office Show have found that 34% of their visitors are interested in Office Equipment, so this exhibition is definitely worth thinking about.
From the 22nd-24th May the UK’s leading independent design festival will be up and running once again.
Winner of Best UK Tradeshow at the 2016 AEO Awards, Clerkenwell Design Week hosts a series of showroom events, exhibitions and installations.
According to Clerkenwell Design Week’s website, Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else, making it the perfect location for such an event.
One featured exhibition, Project, is especially relevant to Office Design, exhibiting a selection of contract furniture, lighting and contract brands, including Dams International, Cube Space and Knightsbridge.
As well as featured brands, architects and branding agencies will also be hosting workshops and installations.
